Let’s talk about it. You would be surprised how often I get these comments and that’s ok. You only know what you know until your taught/learn. Often times when you walk into Home Goods or the decor section in Ross you see tons of art. Some larger pieces for very little do you also notice the made in China sticker? That right there is a big difference. The way these items are manufactured & prints not original art effect the cost of the items. Also, depends on the medium & artist.
My work is original, 1 of a kind and no duplicates. I use high quality materials some of which is a bit more expensive. Epoxy resin, glass & genuine crystals is what my pieces mainly consist of and are more costly then say typical paint & brushes. My prices are made up of cost of materials & a small profit. While I understand the dramatic rise of inflation & buying art is a luxury or maybe at the bottom of the spending list. I am very flexible & accommodating to anyone who would like to support me.
